After DL graduated from Roberts Wesleyan college in the fall of 2002 he moved back home and started volunteering with the youth ministry at his home church. DL has been actively involved with youth ministry for the past 8 years. After volunteering for a year DL was hired by his home church as their part time youth director. Within the first year his part time job transitioned into a full time position. After 2 more years working for his home church DL and his family decided to accept the Youth Pastor position at Perinton Community Church in the summer of 2007. that they have the opportunity to minister to teens as a family.
Michael Skifstad serves as
the Director of Worship at Perinton Community Church. Michael
earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Kent State
University. After finishing at Kent he spent a summer studying
and performing opera in Italy furthering his vocal training.
Michael followed this by completing a Masters Degree in Music
Performance with an emphasis on sacred music from Lee University.
He has over five years of experience directing the choir at his home
church as well as putting on full scale productions at Christmas and

Micahel has been married to Christina for five years.
Christina is a native of Fairport and is very excited to be home.
In 2008, Michael and Christina felt the Lord calling him to work solely
in the ministry. The Lord had a plan, and soon after Christina
was accepted to the University of Rochester, Michael saw that Perinton
Community Church was looking for a Worship Director. In May of
2009, he accepted the position.
In their spare time, Michael and Christina love sports though being
from Cleveland, Ohio, this can sometimes be very hard on Michael.
They also love music and love to sing and are thrilled to share their
passion with PCC.
